Flirt Newsfeed is the flagship current affairs show on Galway's student radio station, themed around trending topics, as in Twitter etc. The existing Flirt FM website wasn't the right platform to publish the multitude of interviews conducted for the show, so a separate tailored website was needed.
FlirtNewsFeed.com blind forwards to FlirtNewsFeed.blogspot.com, a skinned blogspot. Elements included in the website include;
•Mixcloud players for listening back to interviews
•An embedded webstream player for listening to the show
•A google calendar automatically updating with Flirt FM’s events on Facebook marked “attending”
•Galway weather forecast widget
•RSS feeds from Flirt FM’s Facebook posts, the Galway Independent and google’s Irish news feed
The website was designed to self-update from various sources so that there would always be fresh events and news to be found on each visit.
