Episode 6 of a Sound & Vision funded documentary series on Irish students living and working abroad called The Getaway, this features a student's experience teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea.

Trasna na Donnta



Part of Craol's Trasna na Donnta (a 57-part series of 7 minutes programmes with each programme capturing the life experience of a returned emigrant. 14 stations participated in the making of the series). Featuring Ross Duffy of Médecins Sans Frontières.

The piece was edited from approx 20 minutes to be a strict 7 minutes intervieweless piece.

Recorded on site using a Marantz PMD620 (internal stereo microphone), edited with Adobe Audition 2.0.

Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals/Gorillaz)


Gruff Rhys is the lead singer and guitarist of Super Furry Animals. Taking time out from his main focus, he's managed to record a couple solo albums and work with everyone from Boom Bip to Gorillaz.

I caught up with him for a quick interview before his concert in the Town Hall Theatre in November 2010.
